  • Read-only Google connection

We ask for Search Console’s read-only scope. SearchFold can’t change your site or your Google settings.

  • Transparent SEO recommendations

Every suggestion shows the query, page, date range and the math behind its score.

  • Your data, clearly explained

Google’s row limits, data freshness and demo versus real data are always labeled.

How it works

From search data to your next move.

Three steps, one place. No exports to stitch together, and nothing hidden behind a black-box score.

  1. Step 01

    Connect

Grant read-only Search Console access and pick the exact property — domain or URL-prefix, as Google lists it.

    Choose a Search Console property
    • sc-domain:trailhead-supply.exampleOwner
    • https://blog.trailhead-supply.example/Full user
    • https://www.trailhead-supply.example/shop/Restricted user
    Scope: webmasters.readonlyConnect read-only

Sign in with Google, then approve read-only Search Console access.

  2. Step 02

    Spot opportunities

Declines, low click-through and near-page-one queries are ranked by a transparent score you can inspect.

    23.1K → 22.6K

Impressions held steady while position slipped. Check what now ranks above it.

Each score is tied to the query and page Google returned.

  3. Step 03

    Take action

Turn a finding into a task with the evidence attached, then compare the same period once the change has had time.

    Work queue
    • Refresh winter tent guide intro and comparison table
      In progress/guides/winter-tent-guide
    • Rewrite title and meta for merino base layer
      To do/products/merino-base-layer
    • Link layering guide from three related guides

    Results are measured, never promised.

Why did clicks to the winter tent guide drop?

Clicks from “winter tent” fell 54% (890 → 410) while impressions barely moved (−2.2%). Average position went from 4.6 to 7.9, so the page is showing up about as often but lower on the page.

The guide’s second query, “4 season tent guide”, shows the same pattern (520 → 380 clicks). Worth checking which pages now rank above it.

AI insights that show their work.

When the analyst ships, it will only explain numbers from data you’ve authorized. If it can’t trace a claim to a row, it won’t make the claim.

  • Every number links to the rows it came from
  • A “How we calculated this” breakdown on every answer
  • Plain, deterministic summaries work even with AI switched off
  • No claims about rankings inside ChatGPT, Gemini or other AI apps

FAQ

Straight answers.

What we access, what Google’s data can and can’t tell you, and what’s live today.

  • What can SearchFold access in my Google account?

Signing in only shares your basic profile. Search Console access is a separate, read-only permission (webmasters.readonly) that you approve on Google’s own consent screen.

Read-only means we can see performance data for properties you choose, but we can’t edit your site, settings or users. You can disconnect at any time from SearchFold or from your Google Account.

  • How much history will I see?

Search Console keeps about 16 months of performance data. We import your most recent 90 days first so you see something useful quickly, then work backwards through whatever Google still provides.

We can’t recover data Google no longer serves. Anything older than that is only kept from the day you connect.

  • Is the data complete?

Not always, and we say so. Google’s API returns top rows, up to roughly 50,000 rows per property, day and search type, and leaves out some anonymized queries.

Site totals come from Google’s property-level report, so they don’t depend on those row limits. Tables show when a limit was reached and when the data was last refreshed.

  • Is the demo real data?

No. The demo uses sample data for a fictional site, trailhead-supply.example. Every demo screen and export is labeled as demo data, and it’s never mixed with a connected site.

  • Which services are supported?

Google Search Console first. Google Analytics 4 comes next as a separate, optional read-only connection. AI-visibility tracking will come later, with its methodology published.

We don’t scrape Google results, track rankings outside Search Console, or estimate keyword volumes.

  • How is my data handled?

Google access tokens are encrypted on our servers and never sent to your browser. Your data isn’t used to train shared AI models.

You can disconnect a property, and you can request deletion of everything we’ve stored.

  • When can I connect my own site?

Sign in with Google on the app, choose a plan, and connect a verified Search Console property. The pictures on this page are illustrations. Your workspace uses your own Google data.
